I probably shouldn't show these....it was a less than successful attempt in an effort to loosen up my brushwork and deal with watercolor washes. I keep thinking that if I had just kept at it, I might just have learned something by this time!
This one was a bit more successful, but done with colored pencils this time, in an online class with the very talented Angela Jarecki.

Mary, these are gorgeous! I would be thrilled if I could do that. My friend, you rock!
Oh my Mary you do such gorgeous paintings. I love all of them and I am glad you decided to show them. I remember the face from Angela's class. You are such a good artist.
The flower on the left is DAZZLING and the eggplant and peppers painting makes me hungry -- beautiful. I've got to sign up for that class of Angela's...
Oh Mary these are just so beauriful!!!!
You are a wonderful artist!!!!!
"I probably shouldn't show these ... a less than successful attempt" ... Are you KIDDING, Mary? These are excellent. That first flower is a beautiful piece of work.
I agree, these are stunningly beautiful. Please post more of your watercolors!
I think these flowers are wonderful. I love the way the colors blossom together. Very soft and peaceful.
I agree, if I could manage that with water colours, I'd be pleased as punch.
Thank you for the courage to post them, after all. They are beautiful!
These are very nice. Keep 'em coming.
