The Sweater is Finished!

After many weeks and much tearing of hair, the sweater is finally completed. If I didn't love the color so much, I might not have been motivated to finish this one. It required much more time and determination than I thought it would. But I'm glad I stuck with it. The color is called "Emerald City" and is much richer than in this photo. The stitch is called "double moss" and I enjoyed that very much. It was probably a little more advanced than I was ready for, having knitted only socks and dog sweaters until now. It's a little big for me and I'll do a smaller size if I try this pattern again, but it will be great for layering during the Maryland winters!

BRAVO!!! The sweater was worth every irritation Mary -- I am so proud of you for sticking with it! And just wait until the compliments start pouring in when you wear it. Won't that feel good?!

Oh, it came out just BEAUTIFULLY, Sweet Mary! The color is going to be perfect for you with your pretty hair! Incidentally, I tend to crochet (and used to knit) a bit loosely, too. I do the test swatches, of course, before doing the garment, but darned if I don't STILL manage to end up having everything turn out just a tad larger than I intended. I think from now on when I make a garment, I will STILL test swatch, but THEN take the hook a size smaller! At any rate, your sweater is lovely! We want to see you model it come cool weather time!

Wow Grandma is that sweater my size? It sure is a pretty color. I bet you made it for Emmy instead of me -- "Emerald City". Hmpf! Is there a color called Rudy Tootie? I bet there is!
