At last! Something colorful in my area during these bleak winter days. Roy came in to tell me to get my camera and come out to see this lovely rainbow first thing yesterday morning. We had had a brief shower earlier and the rainbow came out just about the time he went out to bring in the morning paper. We usually see rainbows later in the day in a different part of the sky so I was happy to get this particular shot.

How lovely!! For some reason my camera won't pick up rainbows very well.
Oh, look at that gorgeous bow! It makes me smile just to look at it. (Jake has started to clue me in to potential photo opportunities too -- tell Roy he did good!)

Now that is a pleasant sight. Just makes me think of spring and hope and new beginnings. Maybe that is the rainbow's real pot o gold, how it makes you feel when you see one.
