Breakfast for the Kids!

Here's the photo I promised in the post below. See the tiny worm he's carrying? Both Mom and Pop are busy now, and will be busy for the next couple of weeks, feeding the little ones. Right now they seem to be carrying only small worms, or pieces thereof for the tiny little mouths they're feeding. They'll continue to feed them both worms and insects for a little while even after they fledge, but I usually don't get to see that.

Great shot, Mary! It's so nice to watch the parent birds feeding their young.

Awwww... cute! How much fun to watch they must be. Great photo Mary. It would make a nice reference photo for a watercolor sketch... :-)

Lovely photo Mary. Amazing how soon they have hatched. Hope they are all gone before winter sets in.
The nights are getting cold here but perhaps it is still warm at your end of the world.

Hi Mary
It's ages since I've done more than "drop in" to everydaymatters but so enjoyed looking at your birds that I'd like to share "my" birds with you:

hey Mary... thanks for popping over to the blog.... and thanks for missing me.

honestly, summer is such a bad time for blogging isn't it? I hate to be inside.... but, now... there are more rainy and cooler days...and I'm sure I'll be hanging out in bloggyville a bit more.

However,...this week I have a consult with a surgeon about my wrist...and that, if I go ahead with surgery, ...well.... it'll be several weeks to two months of not using the left hand. One handed typing for the blog too .... .... we'll see what transpires I guess....
