Lovely pic, Mary.....these are different looking pinecones to what I'm used to seeing. Are these young ones that haven't matured?

I was too chicken to take my camera out in the rain today Mary. Those cones look almost varnished!
What interesting pine cones! I seldom see them still atttached to a tree, just scatttered on the ground- or maybe I just don't take the time to look.
Some of our trees produce these softer, immature-looking cones, Serena. And of course, being soaked with rain didn't help them either.
This is a very beautiful serene photo! I really like it.
