Photo a Day Jan. 15, 2009

I promise these are the last bird pictures for this challenge unless something extraordinary shows up in my backyard! But our bluejays are rarer visitors than usual this year, for some reason. Although they're much more aggressive than the other birds that eat at the feeders, I still love to see the flash of color when they come and go so quickly.

Wow- what a wonderful variety of birds you get at feeders! Makes me miss my feeders. I spent many hours sitting at the window during the winters watching the birds come and go. You can keep showing birds- I really enjoy these photos.

Oh, the jays are the bully boys around here. Yours don't look like ours at all! I am SO jealous of how colorful your birds are -- what a wonderful display.

I know. Aren't bluejays just kind of mean. When they come to my feeders, all the other birds are out of there. But, you can't deny their beauty.
